How To Build Long-Term Relationships With Scripted Clients
One of the best things about the Scripted marketplace is that it allows writers to work for compatible clients – not just any clients. There are many freelance writing jobs in marketing and advertising, finance, fashion, e-commerce, and more. Marketing and advertising writers have ongoing opportunities to meet and build relationships with agencies that need regular content.
Marketing agencies want writers who truly understand their brand and take the time to craft content that gets them results. Their goal might be to raise brand awareness, reach certain clients, or become thought leaders. These companies are in a unique position: Their own branding and content marketing demonstrates the exact skills they help their clients build. Thus their content must be especially well-crafted.
The best way to build long-term relationships with marketing and advertising companies is to:
- Deliver quality content
- Meet your deadlines
- Understand key marketing terms and know how to explain them
- Communicate and ask questions if you're unsure
- Showcase your expertise with writing samples
The Benefit of SmartMatch for Writers on Scripted
Scripted SmartMatch jobs make it even easier for writers to get work. Rather than having to pitch for every piece you write, you can instantly claim certain jobs. This saves writers time. Instead of waiting days or longer for a pitch to be accepted, SmartMatch allows writers to get started immediately and get paid for their work sooner. As a marketing and advertising writer, you'll have exclusive access to many SmartMatch jobs in your niche. When an agency posts a job, you'll be the first to know.
How To Create Pitches & Win Jobs
Though SmartMatch jobs are appealing, you don't have to wait to catch one before you can start working. Scripted also allows writers to pitch blog ideas to various companies looking for content. To do this, simply identify the agency's target audience and what they might like to read about. To submit a pitch, simply search for a topic or browse through the Blog Ideas section of the platform. Once you find a business you'd like to pitch, you can merely click Propose Job. From there, you can suggest a blog title, word count, and price. The pitch should include a brief outline and thesis for the article you will write. Adding in published samples of your related work will show clients you are the right person for the job. Once the client accepts your pitch, you can get started right away. Scripted aims to make its platform ideal for freelance writers through features like Smartmatch, rewards like 2-day payment turnaround, and access to premium clients for pitching blogs. We're always looking for ways to make our platform more convenient for writers and clients. Want to see what types of jobs are currently available?
